Countlessly, we shared moments of highs-and-lows of our own lives with one another that we would consider each other as best friends. Perhaps, we may even know each other better than own self. As a matter of fact, we never had to pretend to be someone we are not because we accepted each other of who we are.
Due to complex nature of the situation, our relationship will always remain platonic. As we continue to develop into our own separate paths with our significant other, one must make the final decision before it is too late. A change must happen for both of us to move forward. No more “what-if” scenarios because there will be none. One would argue to seize the opportunity physically, but the morale carried along with it would be too much to handle. I will make it easy for the both of us and blame me for being heartless for coming to this decision. One must become emotionally dead for a spiritually awakening to happen. So be it.
This is not a goodbye to our friendship but a farewell to what should and will never happen between the two of us.
